The guide provides basic information about working life in Finland. It includes basic facts about main laws and agreements and also the rights and duties of employees and employers.

Localfinland.fi isis the web site of the Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities. The Association looks after the interest of local authorities. On the web pages you find information on what muncipalities do, their resposibilities and how they are governed. As the web pages say: Finnish local and joint authorities employ 430,000 persons, which is about 20 per cent of the country’s workforce. About four-fifths of municipal employees work in health care, education and social services.
